About Donna Heck

My Story

Donna Heck is the co-founder and President of 33 Forever, Inc., a mental health nonprofit based in Mansfield, Ohio. Donna, her husband,  Jeff Heck,  their 5 remaining children and a few very close friends of Donna’s oldest daughter, Danielle Leedy, founded 33 Forever in February 2019 in the aftermath of Dani losing her battle to chronic depression. Dani was 33 years old and thriving  at the time of her passing.

Donna has since used the platform of 33 Forever and her personal experiences as a suicide survivor and mother of loss, to become a strong leader in mental health awareness, education and advocacy, as well as suicide prevention.

This blog is intended to be Donna’s personal page and forum for her to share stories, thoughts, articles and even more about Dani from her unique perspective as Dani’s mom. Her loss, as with all who knew and love Dani, is limitless. Her perspective, however, is unique and is intended to be hers alone.

In addition to her work with 33 Forever, Donna sits on the Board of Directors of NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) Ohio. She is also the CFO of The Heck Law Offices, Ltd. in Mansfield, Ohio. She and her husband, Jeff, have 6 children and 9 grandchildren.
